Adversaries

By j-tech2, in Deathwatch

I'm hoping people with greater knowledge of the 40k RPG books in general might be able to help me here. I'm trying to compile a list of the enemies for our Deathwatch games, and which source books they appear in.

Deathwatch Core Rulebook - DCR
Final Sanction Adventure - FSA
Oblivion's Edge Adventure - OEA
The Sound of Madness Adventure - SMA

TYRANIDS
- Hive Tyrant (Master). DCR
- Tyranid Warrior (Elite). DCR
- Hormagaunt (Troops). DCR
- Termagant (Troops). DCR
- Genestealer (Troops?). FSA
- Broodlord (Elite?). FSA
- Gargoyle (Troops?). OEA

TAU
- Tau Commander (Master). DCR
- Tau Stealth Suit (Elite). DCR
- Gun Drones (Troops). DCR
- Tau Fire Warriors (Troops). DCR

CHAOS
- Daemon Prince (Master). DCR
- Chaos Space Marines (Elite). DCR
- Renegade Militia (Troops). DCR
- Chaos Heretic (Troops). DCR

TERRAN
- Imperial Agents, DCR
- Imperial Guard Senior Officer, DCR
- Imperial Guard Field Officer, DCR
- Imperial Guardsman, DCR
- Battle Servitor, DCR
- Monotask Servitor, DCR
- Servo-skull, DCR

ORKS?

ELDAR?

NECRONS?

Wait, "The Sound of Madness"? I've never heard of that one before, and it's not listed in the Support section of the site...

On a note related to the topic, I guess there's nothing wrong with importing Adversaries from DH and RT. There's a pretty nasty Lictor in Creatures Anathema, and Ork Boyz and Nobz in the DH core book.

Ah crap, my bad. The SHADOW of Madness is actually the adventure bundled with the Game Master's Kit.

Don't forget Kroot and Orks are both in RT as well, and I think there are some Kroot somewhere in DH too.

That's right, I found that out after I got my own GM Screen.

TYRANIDS

The Broodlord is a Master, as far as I'm aware; the sheer number of wounds is indication enough of that, though the simplified rules do make it a fairly weak example of a Master creature.

In addition, there are two other strains of Genestealer so far published - one in Dark Heresy: Creatures Anathema, and one in Rogue Trader: Into the Storm. A Lictor can be found in Creatures Anathema as well.

ORKS?

Ork Boyz, Ork Nobz (including Mega Armour), Squigs and Gretchin can be found in Creatures Anathema. Ork Freebooterz can be found in the Rogue Trader rulebook. Ork Freebooter, Kommando and Mekboy player characters, along with an assortment of Ork-specific equipment, talents and traits, can be found in Into the Storm.

ELDAR?

Dire Avenger Aspect Warrior, Eldar Ranger and a named Pirate Prince can be found in Creatures Anathema. Eldar Corsair can be found in the Rogue Trader rulebook. Warlocks, Wraithguard, Pathfinders and a named Farseer can be found in Lure of the Expanse. Assorted Eldar equipment can be found in Disciples of the Dark Gods, Creatures Anathema, Rogue Trader, Lure of the Expanse and Into the Storm.

Yup, and from what I see in all of those profiles, they're all pretty good to just import as is with no changes necessary.

I'm kind of wondering about the Dire Avenger Exarch in Ascension, or any xeno or Chaos figure in that book for that matter. Will the introduction of Paragon Talents to their arsenal give them an advantage over Deathwatch PCs?

It would be interesting to see Deathwatch fight against Marabas...

The Vespid are covered in the GM screen.

Do the Warlocks and Farseer come with rules for their typical weapons (witch blade and singing spear)?
