A mate has got me into invasion in the last few weeks, and I went out an got the assault on ulthuan pack. My girlfriend had the dark elfs leaving me to play the high elf, and it's the basic core deck.

Can anyone advise me on how to bet a dark elf deck?

The main problem I have is not being able to keep units in play to build up resourses because of her Har Ganeth cards that send the low value units back to my hand. Is there an elf card that lets me get rid of enemy support cards?

Elves of both inclinations lack support removal. Thus, you could out-do the DElves with your own Supports. Spearmen + Dragon Mage Wakening (for +3HP) are safe from HG or even 1x Vile Sorceress + HG (just hope no We Need Your Blood ). Early Illyriel (ideally turn 2) to BZ can be nasty against DElves, if they are forced to keep back 2 resources each turn or bounce a unit, you can halt them down, if they are getting resources from units mainly (or just to fuel your RBT). Pre-Silent Forge, only thing that can really attack for you are the Swordmasters. However, if you bankroll your KZ to 20+ Power (Contested Stronghold + Treasure Vaults can get some sick finances going), Flames of the Phoenix + replay units should = burn a zone in one turn.

If you're playing pure HE and just from assault, you're kinda limited in options. I'd suggest not putting any 1hp characters in your deck at all.
