My thoughts (they're actually pretty good)

By swingjunkie, in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game

Before I start my actual thread, let me point 2 things out to the anti-errata camp. I promise I say this with the utmost respect and calm:

1) We don't know that FFG errataed RBT because of this forum imparticular. Perhaps they saw the problem on there own. If they did it only because of this forum it would have happened a month ago, so please do not insult them and say they're "weak" and bend to our whim.

2) People in general did not say that Thrower decks were unbeatable. Yes, they were tough, but they really didn't win alot of tourneys as people pointed out. The problem was that, for the most part, they were not fun to play against. You can not argue with the amount of people who complained or left the game because it was not enjoyable. THAT was the big point, the health of the game.

(Please don't start a big argument over this on this thread, it takes up enough of the forum as is, I just wanted to get my thoughts out there)

Now, with that stated, I want to say that I just smiled for the first time after reading something on these threads in weeks. I was reading a thread on how to beat dwarves. What amazed me is that several posts in there was no flaming or trolling or anything negative. It was intelligent discussion about the game. I just wanted to point out a great example of what the forum should be like and what I hope it can come back to....please.

While I have the floor, I'm just going to throw out some things:

As pointed out in the other thread, DE could be a great answer to the dwarves, as Empire could. This is actually going to make me applaud the Dwarves OPness for a second. Dwarves are actually pulling 2 of the currently weaker factions into the fray, as the fact that they can beat "the big deck" makes them more more appealing. (also let it be stated that DE could also bring the pain against Orc/Undead with the tinyest bit more help). BTW, I can see a cool card in the DE future to help against Dwarves: Cancel a tactic and copy the effect was though you played it. Or however you'd need to word that.

Another thing to point out...if the dwarves don't die, reclaim the fallen isn't as nice. So how do you disable something without killing it? CORRUPTION! Maybe Chaos is coming back. I already have a corruption deck that I run that has some game.

A final thought is that they also errated Reaper Bolt Thrower, which could mean that they're worried about destruction being able to produce the resouces to make it equally as deadly.......hints of good things for destruction?

I thought of that. I'm not ruling corruption out - but the Dwarves can sacrifice the corrupted ones to the Grudge Thrower if need be, then Reclaim them. Chaos isn't likely to disrupt their supports much so they'll have the resources to do it.
