Requisition Redundancy?

By Tarkand, in Deathwatch

Is it me or most mission are going to have 2 primary objective pretty much by default?

I mean you need to do whatever it is you need to do... but than you also need to reach an extraction point of some sort or get out of the danger zone or whatever.

And in fact, it might be harder to reach the extraction point once you've killed the enemy general/kidnapped the dignitary/stole the pricless relic then it was to do the task in the first place, has odd are the enemy is now fully alert and looking for you.

Getting back out alive isn't really what I would consider a Primary objective. You can accomplish your mission (the Primary Objective) and die with glory achieving it. In fact I don't think surviving an adventure is an actual objective of any sort (unless you have valuable info that will die with you). Getting out alive is a worthy goal and one that the player characters will strive for without any promise of reward.

And the best bit about the "heroic lineage" that FFG seems to have taken from the suggestions of the fans. ;)
