Bypass "No Attachments" with Fortified Position + Milk of the Poppy?

By Eldil, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Say I play "Fortified Position," and then play Direwolf Pack. Because of the plot, their text box is blanked, including "No Attachments" correct? But as soon as the plot is replaced, any attachment would immediately discarded, correct? But if I played "Milk of the Poppy" on the Direwolf Pack while "Fortified Position" is in play, it would keep the text box blank, and unless someone modified or discarded Milk of the Poppy, I would be free to play attachments on the Direwolf Pack for the rest of the game, correct?

I don't know what benefit I could possibly derive from this, but it tickles me to think of a loading Lordship and Court Advisor onto a Direwolf.

Yes. If there are 2 different effects blanking the character's text box, the loss of one does not restore the text box. It does seem a little weird that Milk of the Poppy could make Milk of the Poppy legal on a character, but keep in mind that you had to use another blanking effect to make it legal to put Milk on in the first place.

Mostly, the Fortified Position/Milk of the Poppy/No Attachments interaction is cute more than useful, but the utility you gain really depends both on which attachments you'd want to put on and what other character text you lose along with the blank text box. Keep in mind, also, that if you load all a bunch of attachments on your Wolf, all I have to do is get rid of Milk to make them all go away.

True. I think I was more curious than anything. Thanks, ktom.
