Healing

By snovoa93, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

In the rules it states how many challenge dice to add. It appears it does not state what characteristic use in order to add the blue dice?

Can anyone give me an example of how healing works?

if its a spell it states which skill to use on the card.

if its the skill, you use either first aid or medicine skill.

You mean "on your own natural healing"?

You suffered 6 wounds, two of them criticals.

You have Toughness 3, Resilience Trained.

You sleep - you get back Toughness in wounds automatically (3) and you get to make a Resilience check (To + expertise die if trained) against your severity of wound to see if you recover more.

If you only had wounds, severity would be One Challenge Die. Since you have a critical wound, severity is Two Challenge Dice.

In this case you roll 3 Blue (To stat) + 1 Yellow (trained) + 2 Challenge Dice. You heal extra wounds with boons (oh look, a boon, extra wound).

If you score successes on this roll for resting = or > value of the Severity of a critical wound you convert it to a normal wound (you will always wake up with at least a normal wound if you were critically wounded). You only convert one critical wound (e.g., you have Severity 2 and 3 crits, you roll 3 successes - choose which crit to convert).

Conditions may modify roll. GM says sleeping in swamp not so restful and healthy, adds 2 black dice to pool for example.

First Aid and Medicine can help treat wounds before resting and can add bonus dice to the roll when resting, though FFG has clarified and apparently it will be in upcoming books that just like healing draughts, all forms of healing only work "once each per subject" per day.

That makes sense.

I though you added a white dice if trained a yellow dice if specialized?

Never mind i had that backwards.

Thanks for the help.
