Hi everybody, I am kind of new to the home brew section but i had to try!
Since I ve heard about the possibility to set up an arkham horror game for different and maybe more exciting gameplay i have to try it with talisman.
Due to its amount of cards and ways of winning the game etc. Talisman has so much potential for scenarios.
I heard that for an Arkham Horror Scenario you have to erase certain cards from the deck and you can only pick characters from a reduced deck as well.
Than one can put up a pile of enemys (maybe just deamons for a deamen theme, or ice queen minions for a Ice queen scenario.) from which you have to place a random one every time you role a 6 on the board. Additionally one can place random followers/objects facedown on the board. This would create a theme for the whole game without getting rid of the surprize effect.
As well as with Arkham Horror one can create a whole story around it. For example: The first game is about investigateing the dungeon. The Character heard a rumor about a Lord of Darkness who holds a Big treasure. After the game is played without the highlands etc. it turns out that the treasure was a trap. So in the next game this player has to play with his base stats -1 or sth. The next game would be about visiting the warlocks cave to find out the truth about this conspiracy. He will help the player for solving 5 quests... and so on
Maybe its not very creative but i was thinking about it while i was typeing.
Before i continue with this topic i would be glad to recieve some feedback. ![]()
