Recently when our group had our gaming session, two of four players couldn't show, which meant we couldn't continue the campaign the GM was running. In order to still have an evening of RP I quickly selected a straight foreward adventure, roughly converted the NPCs to v3 and had the two players make a couple of random characters and we were off.
The adventure we played was The Oldehaller Contract, which was ok, but too long. We started getting close to the finale when we had to cut it short because it was getting late. This was partly because I spent too much time getting ready to run it (getting my printer to produce the scenario correctly was a true battle of man versus machine) and because the scenario just drags on a bit too long for one session.
So, in case we get into the same jam again, I'd like to be prepared with an adventure ready to run in v3, maybe even with pre-genned characters. I can convert v2 adventures to v3, and since there is so few v3 adventures so far (and the regular GM is planning to run some/all of them) I have to look among the v2 adventures anyway. The criterias I'm looking for are:
1: It should be fairly short so it can be run in one evening.
2: It should preferrably not be too combat-heavy. We're there for the RP, not the combat.
3: It can not be "The Oldenhall Contract" or "Grauschloss" as I've run both of these allready. (Grauscloss was awsome by the way).
4: The adventure will probably be played with only 2 players, but possibly 3.
So, anyone have any suggestions?
