Fear of Winter

I would want to know whether Fear of Winter's effect is a lasting effect or a continuous one:

Fear of Winter

Each player cannot play or put into play more than 1 card from his or her hand until you reveal a new plot card.

That "until" suggests it's a lasting effect but I don't see a point of initiation. Should I take it the point of initiation is the moment when the plot is revealed?

Thanks!

It's continuous. There is no point of initiation. The "until" lets you know when the constant effect is no longer in effect. It also takes place immediately when the plot is revealed (not the same as "when revealed"), which the FAQ tells us is a continuous effect.

On a somewhat more philosophical note, in what situation would it not be your active plot without you revealing a new plot card?

Well, I suppose I can think of 1....

If you reveal Forgotten Plans you're blanking Fear of Winter's text, which is my revealed plot. That would be the most interesting situation for me.

Thanks for the answers!
