Review of Bleached_Lizards Dungeon Loadout Sheet

As I promised some far while back, I would post some comments on Bleached_Lizards loadout sheet. Perhaps this is directed mostly to BL himself, as a sort of testing results, but I hope others can find use of this as well. First off, I'm impressed with the work on this. It's solid, and overall very good, and thought through. I haven't used any of the variants BL has described in the documentary, so we have used both the Class discount AND the Monster discount. We are currently running two campaigns, one with the Titan overlord and one with the Sorcerer King overlord.

I think, it hits a little off mark though, by having all monsters aligned into the same cost pair. What I mean, is that a Bane Spider costs 2, and a master 3. The same goes for Skeletons. However, I would argue, that the Master Skeleton is worth more than the Master Bane Spider. Also, I think the Master Skeleton is worth at least the same as two normal Skeletons. So I would think, that raising the MS's cost to 4 wouldn't be a bad thing. The Undying ability 'can' make it really troublesome, and facing 2-3 of these in most dungeons is 'harsh' :)

The same goes for other monsters though. The Beastman and the Deep Elf has the same cost. However, the Deep Elf is far better than the Beastman (taking normal monsters here). I realize though, that there is a small overweight of Dungeons, where Beastmen becomes cheaper than Deep Elves.

All in all, I think it's a great work, though a few of the prices (perhaps more than those mentioned) could do with being adjusted slightly. However, with the small point costs, and difference between point costs - shifting a monsters cost one point up or down, could be troublesome I supose.

I 'really' like the ability to use a greater variety of monsters, and especially the ability to see non-masters of the large monsters is intrigueing :)
