Does anyone know when (or if) multiplayer rules will be released as I'd like to play the game like that with some friends.
WH:I multiplay?
I think someone has promised making players' OWN rules instead of writting petition to developers...
Hey you. I don't think there are any official multiplayer rules as of yet, and maybe never. What we do in our group is:
· To win, you have to burn a section from each of your opponents (we usually play 3 player games, so that means you still have to burn two sections, but you have to do so, by burning one from each of your two opponents - we are discussing wether or not we should keep it at two burns or still do one from each opponent when we do larger games)
· You can of course burn more than one section from the same opponent, thus denying a section that is almost down, from your opponents - however, if you burn a players last section you automatically give a burn to an opponent who hasn't yet burned a section from said player. Thus you cannot prevent another player from winning if you rapidly burn all three sections from one player.
· Decking an opponent counts as a burn, if you actively decked the last card in his reserve deck (or whatever it is called).
· You are never removed from the game. Neither when all your sections are burned, nor if you deck yourself. If you are decked, you merely shuffle up your discard pile and continue to play. I would advice against playing discard decks though, because reshuffling can make for some serious trouble. For example, I had a Dark Elf deck that, because of heavy card draw, decked itself during one game and suddenly all of my nasty tactics were back in the deck since it was deluted from units and support cards. Most of the time though, we've never experienced people getting decked during play. We usually play with around 60-card decks.
· Only the last player in the first round gets to draw and attack (just like normal really - just extending the first player penalty to all but the last).
I think that is it. It has worked very well for us, and makes for very interesting games. Usually we draft the decks before playing, so the decks aren't top tuned. ![]()
Hmmm I may give that a try tonight. Thanks!
