Looks like it is currently scheduled for a November release, this is great!
Release Date
I was shocked to see such an early release date.
I hoped this game doesn't get delayed I'm very excited for it
If it's out in the UK for Christmas I'd be happy.
I bet we'll see it hit in in November. Reminds me of when they released Android, they told us about it 2 or 3 weeks before it hit the shelves. I'm just surprised they made the announcement this early, but I bet it has more to do with distributors and retailers getting in their pre-orders, since popular/desireable FFG games sell out so quickly (case in point, FFG is sold out of Death Angel already; thankfully my distributors still have a few copies).
I'm very keen for this game to hit the stores in Australia. With the standard delay of a few weeks following the US release, it should be here in time for xmas!
Where did it say it would be released in November? The only thing I saw was "this winter". That could be anywhere from December to February.

On the main Fantasy Flight page the ad for MoM states November 2010, after saying "Unravel the Mystery... before it's too late".
Edit: Clarity is good.
Too bad they can't kick it to catch Halloween ......November sounds almost too good, then again FFG has gotten somewhat better on release schedules.

Thanks! I saw it. I guess I got too excited and clicked on the news link before the date popped up there. Can you blame me?
Also, in the USA winter begins near the end of December, around the 21st, so there is a discrepancy between the two. Be that as it may, I really won't complain for a November release.
Halloween would be a good release date!!

According to this article, the release date is December. I don't know how reliable boardgamenews.com is, however.

Me neither, especially since the producers of the game on this very site quite plainly say November. Now, it could very well be 11:59 pm, November 30th... but that would be just hateful for them to do that.
Back on topic of November... FFG have been very shy about announcing release dates until they have product in their warehouse. This is to avoid a myriad of problems, mainly one of avoiding grumpy customers (and angry distributors) because of 'broken promises' I would imagine.
Making announcements and not being able to follow through has bitten them on the ass before. Just look at the history of Arkham Horror reprints over the years, especially early on. Lots of mad customers because FFG would publish numerous release dates that came and went without any actual product to show for it.
Because of the above, I think its safe to say that FFG already have stock. Perhaps not all of the stock that they want to ship to distributors as a normal game shipment would have, but enough to ship initially while the slow boat from china makes its way to fill the rest of the distributor restock orders.
side banner on BGG advertises "Christmas 2010"
As does the banner on the front page of this very website.

Yeah, it was updated a few days ago. The banner said November 2010, then changed suddenly. It's not that much of a wait in comparison, so I don't think it's anything to get too upset over. It's like like it's moving to next summer or anything.
...not yet, anyway!

Well, I imagine that if they have a demo copy for Arkham Nights, that there are at least enough to have an initial release.

It's not really a demo copy as you have to win a chance to play it. And they won't have any to sell at Arkham Nights.

Well, regardless, the chance of the release date being pushed to next Summer is low, which was my point.
Wish it were for Halloween, too. We have a huge party playing games, and one of the favorites is AH's Betrayal in the House on the Hill. But this one from FFG looks way more cool and exciting.
It would be awesome to play this game on Halloween but anytime before Christmas and I'll be a happy man, since that's when I get to see my brother.

I would be a very happy camper if this came out before Xmas...

Too right.
For a wonderful example of FFG's too-frequent policy of "announce-and-delay," look no further than the LotR card game at this very site:
I wouldn't count on November for this game; I wouldn't count on December, either. Unless it's December of 2011 you're talking about.
The official statement from SPIEL '10 was February 2011 for both the English and German versions.
Now it's the 1st Quarter of 2011 of course February meets that criteria but I expect we're into March .
