Winds of Magic Careers: Non-Reikland Magic?

By Jayvenpup, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I at least have seen that the dwarven rune magic isn't involved too much in the book and is glossed over but I have a player who is hoping to play a High Elven magic user, is it able to be done or will another pack be the upgrade to it?

It can't be done in the RAW but as a very simple short-term house-ruled solution I'd suggest simply giving him a choice of any of the college spells, and perhaps making up a High Magic Order Talent in place of a particular College Order Talent.

That was my worse case scenario basically. Thanks!

Sorry, man.

Impossible. High Elf Magic is Pure Wind of Magic. these GM only stuff are too dangerous for PCs. It is really not compatible.

In my games, the High Elf had to struggle with a personnal magical artefact from his father which contained finally a terrible spell (Teclis furor) able to make prone a waaagh! while the character goes to the darkside (LOTR style like Galadriel with the Ring)

Excellent, that explains it perfectly with the LOTR reference. Thanks!
