Does anyone know if the reprint of the basic game has updated cards and rules to fix the errors and update the errata? If so, I might buy it to replace my original set.

Most likely it is the same 2nd edition that's been out for a while. If you've got the 1st edition with the brown board, get this reprint! If you've got the 2nd edition with the yellow board, don't bother.

I took this from the Rule Book pdf available on the www:

"This copy of Arkham Horror is from Fantasy Flight's second printing of the game. This rulebook has been revised from the first printing to incorporate the errata listed in both version 1.1 of the Arkham Horror FAQ (available at www.fantasyflightgames.com) and in the Dunwich Horror expansion rulebook. Three cards (Flesh ward, Healing Stone, and Lantern) and the starting possessions of two investigators (Bob jenkins and Jenny Barnes) and have also been revised according to the FAQ V1.1 errata. Otherwise, there are no changes to this version that affect gameplay."

This document is from 2006. So, if there is no younger version available, then this it is.

I asked the same thing the last time they reprinted it. Apparently FFG doesn't have a constant production schedule and just places a single large order at a time. Then they sell out, and have to make more. And we have to wait. Since AH sells out pretty quickly, they are frequently having to print up more.
