Do you need to meet Prerequisites for Talents acquired on the Origin Path?

As the title says, is there any special rule that waives the Prerequisites for Talents gained from the Origin Path?

I've noticed that Duty Bound (Duty to the Throne) notes that Armour of Contempt is only gained if the WP Prerequisite is met, but why would this be mentioned if it's the default rule?

The particular case where this is showing up is a character with Toughness 32 that has taken Calamity and would like Hardy (which has a Prerequisite: Toughness 40). The character already has Nerves of Steel, so it's either Hardy - which he wants if he can take it - or default to Talented (Choose One).

We also have a Death World character that wants to take Jaded (which has a Prerequisite: Willpower 30) instead of Resistance (Poisons), but only has WP 28.

I don't think I've personally seen it written one way or the other, but I would probably ignore the prerequisites for Talents on the Origin Chart except where stated (like Armour of Contempt), or maybe rule that if you have a choice between 2 or more talents you can only choose ones you meet the prerequisites for.

I think Into the Storm had something on one of the charts, careers, or something where it said you could ignore them in those cases too, don't quote me on that. but maybe its intended that the chart ignores prerequisites.

My reply from Sam Stewart:

As to your second question, in general you do ignore the prerequisites for Talents and Skills gained on the Origin Path, unless it specifies otherwise (as is the case of Duty to the Throne)
