I have not heard a single good comment about the character deck expansions.

What did people dislike about these decks? It seems like they would have been well received because they allow more player interaction.

I haven't purchased any of the character decks (although I plan to) I've only read through the first few pages of the rulebook and skimmed the rest.

I was just wondering why people don't like these decks. What is wrong with them? Also I would like to hear what you think they do well?

I am utterly unfamiliar with them, but like (probably have), I looked around at what others have to say. Keep in mind the player interaction isn't the same as character (hero) interaction. Some didn't like that the interaction was all about players (throwing obstacles and hardships at each other) in place of actual character interaction. I understand that in part, as I've seen the same ad-hoc approach in other games lead to the same conundrum, but with a land as big as in Runebound, I'm baffled by how characters would actually interact that often. That's really all I can offer in ignorance of the actual decks.
