Really great stuff. But somehow i´m a little bit dissapointed because of the Greyjoy cards. It seems like every expansion pack

brings along Greyjoy charachters like 1- STR , cost 1/2 , gametext: ....; or str- 4 , cost 1/2 gametext: reduce the str by x if (insert popular game strategy here).

Where are the armies of the iron fleet ? And besides, where is Ser Gregor? When will we finally see some warship or Greyjoy charachter that´s solid?

I don't get it.

Defenders of the North: Nute the Barber, Naval Escort, Raiding Fleet, Tarle the Thrice-Drowned

Brotherhood Without Banners: River Blockade, Euron Crow's Eye (more to come)

I don't think one can complain.

Have to agree with Rogue30 here, I like both these new Greyjoy cards quite a bit. Income superiority in true Greyjoy fashion. It's true there aren't enough Raiders yet to make the Ambitious Oarsmen effective, but we'll get there.

related to Greyjoy:

first pack of Brotherhood were for dotrhaki mainly.

Second for BAra Asshai.

I think we will have in each CP one main faction in love. So the time for the kraken has not yet come... but will arrive... I hope ;-)

Yes, FFG said in the article that previewed this expansion ( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=1272 ) that each would have a greater focus on one of the House's and its sub faction. The 4th pack, Song of Silence focues on Greyjoy's Raiders and has Euron Crows Eye in it. Next pack, the third one is Lannister's clansmen. That leaves Starks Bolton and Martell's Sand Snakes for packs 5 and 6.

Lord of Light, Protect Us - an interesting card. I hope they print a few Targ asshai. (They do have 4 to 5 of them).

oops, double post, deleted.

Guess i have to pullback a little. It´s not like they don´t get some good stuff, but what they get is often very special and/ or open-ended. See, they e.g. get the seastone chair which is a good card, but they have 1 (?) in-house noble charachter.

About the cards mentioned:

- Nute the barber, is a) an ally, b) has only got a military icon, c) intimidate is for my taste already on enough Greyjoy charachters. Winning military challenges as the attacker has been seldom a problem of Greyjoy.

- Naval escort, is just a STR boost which has some potential. But most of the Greyjoy warship need to be knelt for their effect. So naval escort should be most of the time a +1 STR boost, unless of course you want to kneel your LIV and longship foamdrinker for an additional STR. - Of course there maybe situations where it makes sense, but i do think it´s clearly the exception.

- Raiding fleet, i like the card, it´s one of these iron fleet armies i mentioned. But they are very expensive and i think rarely seen outside of a dedicated discard deck, wildling and nightwatch armies are easier to play.

- Euron -> definetely good, but will probably only replace old WED Euron. I think it´s hard to say which Euron is the better one, without having seen the whole raider theme.

Nute the barber is probably the best example for my statement, just compare this charachter to Rakharo or Aggo. Both dothraki queensguard charachters have a "unique" game text for a "unique" charachter. Nute is just a 3 cost unique ally with a build in str boost.

You may want to play a totally unnedly Targaryen treaty with house Baratheon once the kings of the storm expansion is released. :-)

I am waiting for Song of Silence before judging Greyjoy/Raider this exp.

Aggo and his bow are phenomenal, I really like the Dothraki theme so far for Targ.

Oh, that kind of complaining. Do you wanna get me started how Stark cards are worse than any other House? lengua.gif

I really like Campfire Mime. Not super strong or anything, but helps fill that intrigue gap in Kingsguard or Knight decks. Vulnerable, of course, but cheap too.

lengua.gif . Stark recently got some very good additions, but maybe that´s because of the Stark expansion.

Well i´m also not trying to push a singular house, it´s just that i remember old ccg days were i had 3-4 different and very enjoyable Greyjoy decks and i compare this situation to LCG days were i have one Greyjoy (and one wildling/nightwatch/discard Greyjoy) deck and the cards in the deck are basically the same over the last 10 chapter packs as they were after the release of the Greyjoy expansion.
