Friday night is game night!!

By msmithamp, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Getting excited for another adventure into the world we all know in love called Arkham. This week my group of fool hardy adventures will be tackling the yellow king expo for the first time! Also we decided as a group to remove the Dark Pharo expo altogether from the game for the time being. Seems like it doesn't quite add as much as the other expos and we want to try something different.

Also we are for the first time doing a three investigator draft where each person gets three investigators and picks one. Should be exciting. Finally the Old One will be drawn from the remaining pile that we have yet to beat, which is quite a few.

All board expos will be in play, although if we countinue to have card dilution we might remove one... possible DH or KH, I love IH way to much.

Hope everyone else has a great Friday night: may you succed against the evils of Arkham Horror, your upkeep never contain a 1 roll for your blessing, and your first unique drawn is an elder sign.

If you're only using Mythos cards from the three board expansions, dilution won't be much of an issue. Or, if you still DO find it to become a problem, you could just remove all the Kingsport mythos card, but leave the Kingsport board in play! Remember that Kingsport Mythos cards are not required for the rift track to progress. And two expansions total is certainly not enough to dumb Dunwich down too much.

Not to mention, if you're using only the DH KH IH gate cards, then you have the smallest dilution of encounters for each of the four expansion other worlds in one game (which is great). Remember that Innsmouth's gate encounters are brilliantly designed so that they don't contribute at all to gate deck dilution.
