Black Knights of Morr

By fatolaf, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

Their Action reads: When a unit enters this zone, target unit cannot defend until the end of the turn

Now I guess the RAI, was when the black knight attacks, one unit cannot defend. But with the RAW it just seems very strange but with the same ability just about making sense..

Is it just me or is this badly written OR is there something I am just missing??gran_risa.gif

Love the card though, goes in great with my ever expanding (just for fun) Empire knight deck...

I would guess that is is meant to support the empire movement tech

- ie when you play a unit in the same zones the knights are at or move a unit to the same zone it will prevent one target from defending for each move/play.

Yes, this card is worded correctly. It's meant for the zone manipulation decks where you move your units around, such as Pistoliers, the Empire hero that moves each phase (forget his name), Forced March, etc. Also, there is great synergy with the Greatswords which get +1 power for the same unit movement.

Right, not as good as I first thought then (as I have got rid of alot of the movement cards) but still handy non the less, I take it playing a unit from your hand into the same zone as the Knights, enables them to use their power?

Based on how Greatswords work, I would also assume Black Knights ability trigger their own ability when they enter a zone.

Is this the case?

Yes

I agre that Black Knight of Morr can trigger there ability just like Greatswords. So when they enter the zone one unit can't defend.

Yes, this is the case. So if you played the knights, then played another unit from hand into the same zone, 2 units of your choice would be unable to defend.
