London AGoT Meets: Sat 2 Oct and Sat 6 Nov 2010 (12 - 6pm)

By The Magus2, in 3. AGoT Organized Play

Yeah, it was quite the display from Chris.

We slowed him down for a couple of turns, but eventually the whirring, ticking cogs of his recursion deck just ground us down. The killer blow was when I swung Eddard at an apparently lightly defended board, only to see 'To be a Dragon' stand a Drogo (the one with Renown), fetch Daenarys back from the grave, then shunt them both into my path in order to claim the two power needed for the win (a mere 13, due to a tooled up King Viserys). Rightful rulers of Westeros indeed...

For those that weren't there my personal highlights were:

Most fun: Cackling with glee while inflicting a high-claim 'Deadly Khalasar' fueled beating on a string of vulnerable opponents.

Most Bone-Crunching: Watching a triple 'Take them by surprise' pileup. Brutal hand shedding stuff...

Most Awkward: Realising halfway through a game that I'd forgotten to add resource producing locations to the Martell deck I'd thrown together at the last minute that morning. Deeply embarrassing.

Anyway, thanks for getting the day set up Magus. I really enjoyed myself and am definitely going to be there next month.
