Knights!

New post...not a very impressive card, but as soon as the agenda hits, it will be very popular.

The knight looks interesting if not particularly awe inspiring, but a cheap war crest character could give Baratheon some great use out of Price of War and the like. Really though, the agenda looks much more solid. With all the draw and discard love going around to all the houses except Lannister lately, can it really be said that they still have an overpowering dominance? (Or at least, will they once this is all available for people to actually build with.)

A Martell House Dayne deck could make decent use of this card as well, as they have several cheap Knights, pretty much all of which have House Dayne as their other trait.

I've never been a fan of that agenda, and especially don't like it in the current environment - I don't see enough downside risk in using this. l'lI reiterate my longstanding call for more anti-draw type abilities/cards. I assume that the new Stannis will negate this draw, but I may be rusty on Agenda rules.

I remember Knights being popular, but not as game breaking as say DoTN.

It was solid draw, not spectacular, nor necessarily consistent. You coudl never guarantee the knight edge and the drawback really stung. But if you read the meta right - it could give you quite an edge. I knwo for a fact that Knights decks won quite a few regioanls and placed well at the big dance. I think this is going to be quite popular in LCG.

In 2006, when Rings won Worlds, he was using a Knights of the Realm Agenda deck. I got second that year using the same Agenda. Our game got grossly out of hand for me when he got the Knight advantage.

However, I hardly remember anyone else using that agenda at worlds that year.

There was at least one more inthe Top 8 I thought (Bara mabye)?

The irony is that your deck had WAY more knights than mine did... gran_risa.gif

I will have to have a Knight deck built, if only for 'dancing with what brought me'.

My deck was a 79 card deck if I remember correctly, so it probably had way more of EVERYTHING than your deck had.

Just like you to start bringing up deck size again... ;)

Does it bother anyone else that the Knights agenda is an option for all houses whereas Siege of Winterfell is House Stark only? I mean think of the abuse of a House Tully/Knights agenda deck could produce. Just my thoughts.

That's a good idea, I'm gonna have to add it to my House Tully deck, my fiance will be happy, its her deck.

Nope, this does not bother me. I'm OK with it.

I'm actually alittle more disappointed that Siege of Winterfell is Stark only. I've got a Greyjoy and Targ deck I'd love to be able to use siege with.

Agree. The War of the Five Kings agenda, which SoW essentially is, was a very prominent agenda while Valyrian edition was legal. But having it limited to House Stark is likely limiting how often people have to face it.

I am VERY glad Knights was not Baratheon only, as it would ramp up their power level too much. Giving other houses opportunity to this card draw will make people more likely to play with knights, or anti-knight tech. The KLE Hound might just start making the cut in my decks.

The fact that all Houses have access to the Agenda makes sure that the drawback will actually kick in once in a while, and balances the Agenda out a bit. So, nothing against it either, quite on the contrary. Besides, nice to see all kinds of knight decks come to the forefront.

Yeah Siege should be open to all Houses, GJ and Targ could really make good use of it. Generally, I think agendas are the only cards that really should always be available to all houses. In most other cases I think cards should be in-house, or dual-house, to keep the flavor in the game. Too many neutral cards been running around lately for my liking. Not just the neutral factions (Kingsguard, NW, Wildling, Brotherhood), but also plenty of neutral events, attachments, characters etc.

Yes, Siege of Winterfell should be open for all houses. The dotrahki theme would like this agenda a lot in my opinion. ;-)

I´m happy that knights of the realm returns and is open for all houses with the exception of house Greyjoy. I think a little extra draw with an agenda is great, so i found myself often to play kings of summer. But it just won´t fit to every type of deck and it´s a little dull to squeeze that 5-6 ravens in every second deck.
