Deathwatch Training Talent

By Lord_Ruben, in Deathwatch

The Stage 1: Generating Characteristics and the Space Marine Abilities sections of the Chapter I: Character Creation state that all Deathwatch Marines start with the Deathwatch Training talent. However, this talent is not pre-populated on the Character Sheet. I'm guess that this is a non-intentional omission on the Character Sheet. Can I please get confirmation on this? Also, can the Web Supplement Character Sheets please get updated with this Talent?

Thanks!

Not an official FFG answer here, but yes this is an omission. The Deathwatch Training Talent is what lets your characters auto-confirm Righteous Fury against xenos, which was a core rule since the very first play test PDF we got.

If I had to guess, I would say that they left it off in case, for whatever reason, a GM or player wanted to create a space marine character who had not undergone deathwatch training.

Aye, I believe the sheet was left so as to allow non-Deathwatch marines to use it without having to cross bits out. It's not hard to add it to the sheet in the talents section.

My issue with the purposeful omission theory is that Deathwatch Marines receive Forbidden Lore (Xenos) and Common Lore (Deathwatch) as part of their Deathwatch hypno-conditioning and this is represented on the Character Sheet.
