Discarding your opponent deck on turn 2?

By plueschi2, in Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game

Hello Forum,

i recently had an idea for a deck, that tries to win quickly by discarding your opponents deck asap. I made some readjustments and realized, that it is theoretically possible to win by decking on turn 2! Anybody interested in the solution? Of course it is a huge set up and it is never ever going to come up in a real game, but it is fun anyway.

It actually involves a fancy combo, that i have not seen mentioned on these forums (but i might just be too blind).

Bye

Sure, post it. Sounds cool. :)

yeah post it dude.... i would love to read it :)

I would like to read it as well.

Thanks!

Is "slow-roll your ideas for 3 weeks" the new standard for posting ideas or something? Gee, I sure am glad that standard got set...

No one here expects you to have perfectly tuned decks, man... just to be willing to discuss the ins & outs and participate in the tuning process. Lots of minds are better than one, post your thoughts and lets see what we can brew out of them.

I'd love to post my idea, but i have to get a PhD worth of data first ;)

Ok, just kiddin' you don't have to wait any longer. I just thought maybe someone wanted the opportunity to have a guess first (like a riddle or something)

So here it goes:

I'll post the number of ressources i have, number of cards in my hand and the number of cards in my opponents deck like this: 3 / 7 / 43 which would be the start configuration for turn one.

Turn 1

I start from a Chaos board playing Fledling Chaos Spawn to kingdom and attach a Deamonsword to it. Additionally i play a development to kingdom. The status is now 1 / 4 / 43.

My opponent does whatever he does and probably draws one card. Additionally i assume, that he is unable to interrupt my turn with a Lobber Crew or the like. Status 1 / 4 / 42.

Turn 2 (thats where the magic happens)

At the beginning of my turn i play Bolt of Change with my last turns ressource giving me 8 power in the kingdom and therefore 8 ressources (8 / 3 / 42).

I draw a card (8 / 4 / 42)

I play a development to kingdom (8 / 3 / 42)

I innovate (10 / 2 / 42)

I then play Slaanesh Domination and immediately respond with Will of Tzeentch (5 / 0 / 39). So Will of Tzeentch goes of first and then my opponent reveals the three cards he drew and guess what? He drew three Innovate ;)

So i innovate thirce (11 / 3 /39)

I play Lord of change (5 / 2 / 39)

The top card of my deck is a Walking sacrice, i play it for 1 ressource (4 / 2 / 39)

The two next cards are walking sacrifices too, so i play them for free.

Now the topmost card of my deck is a lash the prisoners, i play it on the first Sacrifice and immediately respond with the other two from my hand, so that the loyality cost works. So i get 3 cards and 6 ressources (10 / 3 / 39).

Now the game is basically over, i three Plague Monks (4 / 0 / 39)

and then fire of three cloud of flies from the top of my deck (4 / 0 / 21), followed by three Flames of Tzeentch for zero damage (4 / 0 / 3) and maybe a last Bolt of Change (4 / 0 / -3)

and voila.

You get extra style points, if you play against a Bolt Thrower deck and stop milling him after you got all Throwers and Order in Chaos and then torture him with one or two Veteran Sellsword until you simply win first because you could attack first *g*

The combo i have mentioned is Plague Monk / Slaanesh Domination / Will of tzeentch. You can set two cards on the top of his deck, that you are going to steal. It feels awesome to pick Innovations, Epic Spells and other shinies. I'd call this "corrupt the deck" ;)

Hope you like it.

haha... points for style, but not really something you can build a deck around

Well done - clever thinking on this.
