Wind Pact reads: "You may move through pit obstacles without effect."

Does this also mean that you are not effected by the OL event card Pit Traps and thus take no damage from those cards?

No. Trap cards are not obstacles.

But it means that if you fall into a pit trap, you don't need to pay extra movement points in order to move out of the pit obstacle created by the card.
