This has come up several times but I'm now in the process of finally glueing my figs up,so I can speak from experience.I'm using GW Plastic Glue & no problems almost instant bond & just snipping the pegs off before glueing works fine.I experimented both ways & just getting rid of the pegs is best,with glueing the plastic bonds so the pegs aren't needed.

So far I have completed the WotW figs,all the Lannister Leaders & The Core Lannister Cav.This is enough to give a Glue Buzz which I hope a Beer will cure.

Superglue works fine too. I found it helpful to use a dentist sculpting tool to push the tabs securely into place. I'm sure other implements of torture work just as well though.

Agree about removing (or at least trimming down) the pegs.

Glue Buzz? With plastic glue? Intriguing.

I'm glad someone else used GW Plastic Glue first as that was what I was intending to do. Glad to hear it works

As for getting a buzz off of it, I once went to bed having been spending an evening gluing a box or two of Tyranids together. A few hours later I had the most real and scary experience of my life as I awoke to that feeling that something was in my room. I heard a droning sound and opening my eyes came face to face with what I can only describe as a bee-winged Hormagaunt hovering above my bed. I remember screaming at it and leaping out of bed, hurling my duvet over it and standing their, sweat dripping, for a good few minutes before getting the nerve to pull back the sheets and find that I had been dreaming/hallucinating. From then on I glued with the windows and doors wide open!

Having worked extensively with both types of glue, I can say the plastic glue certainly smells better while the super glue really only makes my head hurt! Just in case someone tries to sue me, I must say that any 'high' gained was merely coincidental and/or natural because I love putting together miniatures.

And to actually add to the conversation, thank you for confirming the plastic glue works, as I have only used super glue on my BoW minis (which also works quite well).

I should add that white glue has worked very well for me. This can be Elmer's, plain old wood glue, or PVA. I like to make a pool of it in a dish and then dip the figure pegs in that before I push the pegs in the base with the back of my hobby knife. I found Super Glue was more of a PITA and slower to work with, although it dries faster.
