i took a about a 2 month break from ufs and i was wondering if u guys could tell me the best new set some of the cool and top characters and the best symbol

I was actually going to ask a similar question, I've been out of the game since June, so I was wondering if there were any new promos worth getting and what sets I should bother getting cards from.

Well we jut had a set released this week and it is freakin amazing SNK: Flames of Fame and SF: Warriors Dreams otherwise realm of Midnight still has a majority o te attacks that everyone is running including Mega Spike, Darkness Blade, High Plasma Beam, amoung others and it also has a great foundation spread. As far a Promos go, Chesters Backing is becoming the card to get as it seems to find its way in almost every deck these day (expecially since it sports a 4 diff and 6 Control with a block. so that would be a good place to start looking.

You really can't go wrong picking up a bunch of the two new sets that just came out.

They've shifted the game significantly.

Also, Realm of Midnight has sold out. There is a bunch of great stuff in there, so if your store still has boxes, grab them. My shops been out for two full months, and hasn't been able to reorder.

Thankfully I got a box of Realm of Midnight before my break from the game, so I only really missed out on KoF 2006 and the August Soul Calibur set. I'm very interested in picking up boxes of the new sets as soon as I can, as I've seen some cards in both sets that I'm interested in trying out. Thanks guys, I appriciate the help, oh and antigoth, I'm glad to be back.

Come to think of it, I believe the local store still has several boxes of RoM, so I may pick up another just to be on the safe side.

There are some cards in Set 10 that become staples for life/water/order depending on what you're doing.

Chinese Boxing

Battle Prowess

Altered Mind and Body

Forethought

Plus a bunch of other foundations.

There's defender which does silly things for Order /Water decks.

Personally I've picked up a box of each and traded for the rest that I needed.

If you're into Void - then the SNK set is a MUST pickup with Ways of Punishment, as well as some other goodies.

If you can afford it, I'd try to pick up all 4 sets. But then again, I think set 10 is better then many folks give it credit for.
