I had pre-ordered DW and was expecting it to ship next week, now they sent me an email stating its changed to Oct. 18th for the release, so whats the official word?

Cross fingers, don't hold breath. It'll show when it shows. My WHF3RP order changed twice, finally settling on a backorder fill date of: 8/3-11/14, so anything is a good guess.
Yeah, amazon has extremely fluid dates for FFG stuff. I think it has something to do with their supply chain.

Interestingly enough both Amazon UK and the UK-based The Book Depository have the release date for Deathwatch as 8 September... might worth checking them out if Amazon fails to deliver until the end of September.

Alternatively they could be waiting till it supposed to in our hands before telling us that it's delayed. Equally likely IMHO.
Orcs nest newsletter has it on the 13th so one of these days soon I think is the word.
A really curious find on one of the german retailers (Feder&Schwert) they state that they were prohibited to sale the product by the publisher, and may offer it in the second half of September shop.feder-und-schwert.com/product_info.php , most funny part is they state, the product will be available AGAIN after September 16th
Not sure if it's only for Amazon.ca but every FFG book prices has jumped today.
Deathwatch is now like 8$ more than it was yesterday.
I'm happy I had it pre-ordered since a while but not so lucky for some other books:
Rogue Trader: Into the Storm jumped from 33.22$ to 39.34$!
Dark Heresy RPG: The Haarlock's Legacy Volume 3: Dead Star from 16.48$ to 20.15$
Did FFG raised all their retail prices or what?
