More thematic starting equipment

I came across a post (I think it was on BGG) where someone made up a list of more thematic equipment that an investigator started out with. It was a list of items that an investigator would get as a result of a die roll for their random possessions that fit with each character (so, for example, Sister Mary would not end up with dynamite) . I thought it was a great idea but I can't seem to find it now. Anyone know where I can find this thread again?

I certainly don't have it, but I believe that the list was made before Kingsport, so it might be a better idea just to make a new one from scratch. Of course, you may have to consider how items from different expansions will be incorporated, if at all.

The SIMPLEST way to do this would just to make a table of items that any particular character CANNOT start with; you would simply discard those items if drawn during setup.

that sounds like a cool idea. Is there any other ideas to make a game more thematic cause that might make my solo games more interesting.
