Multi-player?

By Mune, in Hollow Bastion

I know this may sound odd, but is there a way to play multi-player in this game? The reason why I ask, is that I have a few card friends that always get together and play various other card games in a 3-6 way free-for-all.

Games we have done multi-way that weren't meant to be or at least no rules for them:

Yu Y u Hakusho

Yu-Gi-Oh

Naruto

Ones we did with official rules:

DBZ

Magic, The Gathering

So, if you think it may be possible, can someone help?

Aggro - Drop all opponents to 0
WR - Same as normal play

when i was at gencon last summer there were different tournys with different names(neverland tournament, colesium tournament ect...) a colesium tourny is played in teams two vs two i have the rules somewhere... is that what your looking for or do you want a free for all?

Yeah, that sounds pretty familiar. Colesium rules are meant mostly for 2 vs. 2, but I bet the rules wouldn't have to be altered too much for more people.

In Coliseum, each player is paired with a partner, and will play against two opponents, also
paired as a team. In most respects, each player on a team will act separately from their teammate,
however, they will still need to cooperate to win.
Note : It is a very good idea to sleeve your cards or otherwise mark them to insure that all of the
cards used in the game return to their proper owners.
The Objective : A team wins when the total level of either member’s World Cards reaches 13 or
more. A team also wins by reducing either opponent to zero Heart Points.
Partners may look at each other’s decks before playing (and can even build their decks together),
but once play begins, partners cannot look at each other’s decks or hands. While partners cannot
look at each other’s hands during play, they can offer suggestions to their partner and share
information with them - vocally, of course! Sharing information between partners can be useful -
but it also risks giving information to your opponents. Of course, both teams are encouraged to
bluff or otherwise mislead each other.
Players sit around the table, alternating teams: Team 1-Player 1, Team 2-Player 1, Team 1-Player
2, Team 2-Player 2. Partners sit across from each other, with opponents to either side.
Play proceeds as normal with each player taking their turn clockwise around the table.
Global Rules Changes

Except where otherwise noted, the following rules apply globally, at all times:
Card text that refers to “the opponent” or “your opponent” refers to either of your opponents, but
not both.
Card text that refers to “each player” refers to all players.
Any time a card would be discarded, it is sent to the discard pile of the player who originally
played the card.
Determine Turn Order
The player with the lowest level Player card goes first. If there is a tie, add the levels of both
teammate’s Player cards together. The player with the lowest level Player card on the team with
the lowest combined levels goes first. If there is still a tie, the youngest player goes first.
Action Phase
Play Friend Cards
Once per turn, at the beginning of a player’s Action Phase, before playing any Friend cards, a
player may move one Friend from their own Friend Area to their partner’s Friend Area.
If a player moves a Friend into their partner’s Friend Area that has the same name as a Friend in
the target Friend Area, the Friend that was already in that Friend Area is discarded and replaced
with the Friend that just moved in.
For example: Jaffer moves a Level 3 Donald Duck into his partner Jeremy’s Friend Area. Jeremy
already has a Level 1 Donald Duck in play. The Level 1 Donald Duck is discarded and replaced
with the Level 3 Donald.

A Friend moved into a partner’s Friend Area can be of a higher level than would normally be
allowed as long as it was legally played into the original Friend Area.
For example: Jaffer moves Level 4 Leon into Jeremy’s Friend Area. Jeremy only has a Level 1
Aladdin in play, however, Jaffer already had a Level 3 Donald before playing Leon, so the play is
legal
.
In all other respects, Friends are played as normal.
Play Dark Cards
Players can play Dark cards onto either or both of their opponents’ World cards, subject to the
normal Dark limits.
When playing a Dark card onto an opponent’s World card, you choose that opponent to be the
target of any of that card’s effects that refer to “your/the opponent.”
For example: You cannot play Parasite Cage on one opponent’s World card and then place a
Friend from the other opponent’s Friend Area on that card.

Movement
Players may only play one World card per turn and they may only play that World card into their
own World Area. Players cannot play World cards into their partner’s World Area.
Battle
Players can only Battle Dark cards on their own Worlds using their own Friends, Attack cards,
and Magic cards. Players may not use Friends in their Friend Area, Attack cards, or Magic cards
to support their partner in a Battle on their World.
Effects that target Dark cards without Battling them, such as The Beast’s Furious Bellow or
Dumbo’s Splash can target any Dark card in play - either on a partner’s World or an opponent’s.
Play Magic and Magic/Friend Cards
Players may use Cure or Tinker Bell’s Regen ability on their partner or themselves. Other than
Cure or Tinker Bell, Magic cards that refer to “You” or “Your” apply only to the player that
originally played the card.
Magic/Friends cannot be played into a partner’s Friend Area.
Challenge Phase
During the Challenge phase, the player who initiates the challenge is the Primary attacker and
their partner is the Support attacker. The Primary attacker must choose one opponent to be the
Primary defender. Once chosen, that opponent’s partner becomes the Support defender.
Players take turns, starting with the Primary attacker and rotating clockwise around the table,
adding support cards (Attack cards, Magic cards, and Magic Friend cards) to the challenge until
all players pass. Support cards add to the Primary attacker’s attack value. The Support attacker
cannot add their Player card’s Attack value to the challenge.

Only during the Challenge phase can a player play Magic, Magic/Friend, or Attack cards to
support their partner.
Whoever has the highest Attack value between the Primary attacker and the Primary defender
wins and the loser loses 2 HP. The losing Support player loses 1 HP.
Challenges take place on the Primary defender’s World and are therefore subject to the
limitations of that World.
For example: Attack Cards cannot be added to a challenge if the Primary defender’s top World
card is Atlantica.

Miscellaneous
If Yuffie is saved from being discarded, she returns to the hand of the player that originally
played the card.
Metal Chocobo is either returned to the hand of the player who originally played the card, or is
sent to that player’s discard pile.
When Hundred Acre Woods is played all players must discard their entire hand.
Chip and Dale can only return cards from one discard pile to one draw deck. The effect does not
put both teammate’s discard piles into the same deck.
Fairy Harp switches the Attack value of the Primary players.
Olympia can discard the last card that either opponent played.
Soul Eater can target either, but not both, the Primary or Support player. The chosen player loses
one extra HP, therefore 3 HP if the Primary is chosen and 2 HP if the Support is chosen. The
player not chosen loses the normal number of HP.
Rule Change: If a player has zero cards in hand at the start of the Draw phase, they may draw at
least one card, no matter how many copies of Huey, Dewey, or Louie are currently in play.

I hope this helps. There is a PDF out there. Just don't know where on the site
