The Format

Swiss pairing sytem. Depending on the number of players, there will be 4 or 5 rounds.

Call of Cthulhu LCG Core Set

Secrets of Arkham expansion

AP5 (Mountains of Madness) up to the AP 'Screams from within' (Yuggoth cycle) to be released a few weeks before the event.

Deck of minimum 50 cards, maximum three copies of each card. No sideboard.

Important : it is mandatory to use opaque sleeves of dark colour for your deck.
No decklist is required.

Set of stories : Secrets of Arkham (please bring your own set)

Time limit : 45min per round.

The background

On the week-end of Fri 29-Oct 7:00pm to Sun 31-Oct-2010 (6:00pm), there will be the 28th edition of the International Rendez-Vous (IRV), the annual boardgames convention of the club ‘Objectif Jeux’. It will take place in Liege, Belgium. Over the week-end, more or less 150 gamers from Belgium, Switzerland, France will attend the convention. There are many games available : modern boardgames (with some of the latest Essen 2010 releases), miniatures, dexterity games card games, and other games (18xx train games, etc.)

There is an important auction on second-hand boardgames which takes place on Sunday 5:00pm (end at 6:30pm) to close the week-end.

Several Belgian beers and various food options are available on location at reasonable prices. A free and vast car parking.

For players coming from abroad, we can arrange for picking up at the Liege TGV station - please send us your request as soon as possible.

It is a busy period with Cthulhu card games (Stahleck and Spiel, both in October!) but I'll try to be there, at least one day!

I set everything to come, but 2 days ago my supervisor at work gave me another deadline for next week so I have to work, sigh.

This was one of the best tournament I had since a long time !!

We had a lot of players to encounter and the 2 day-long format was fine, as it allows us to play multi.

This one is to be done by every european player, as the environnment + the kindness of all Belgians are really noticeable.

Sorry Marius and Konx couldn't reach us. As this was maybe the biggest Euro tournament of the year, I'm sure you'ld have enjoyed it !
