Card Sleeves - BillStivers?

By SoyGreen, in DungeonQuest

Hey Ben - thought I might get you to see this post before the one in the Talisman boards...

Which card protectors you use?

Have you found any good clear ones? That are reasonably cheap?

I think you ment Bill :) , so I will respond. I bought the FFG mini sleeves (Yellow Packaging) at GenCon $2.50 or 50 sleeves. They work great. You can find them cheeper if you look around the internet, but no much cheaper. I wouldn't buy a lesser brand of sleeves which my friend did and the sleeves were cut wrong or different lengths. Stick with FFG brand for there cards no matter where you get them from. Less chance of things going wrong and being dissapointed.

Oops! Yes I did mean Bill!!!

I am tempted to get the Mayday sleeves - they are said to stack really well when you have decks that are like 50+ cards... AND - I have found them really cheap - I can get the FFG from the same site for $1.66-$2.00 for 50 packs OR $1.31-$1.60 for 100 of the Mayday. (The 2 prices are the mini and the size I need for Descent.)

So not only are they less - but they are also twice as many per pack... with people who have said the Mayday are good.

So yeah - I am torn!

I use Mayday for both sizes of cards with Arkham Horror and have not had any problems with them. I haven't used the FFG ones to compare them to, but as you mentioned it's less price for half the cost. None of my Maydays have broken or anything of that sort, so you should be alright.
