I have 3 Rules Questions

By Jerry Rigg, in Deathwatch

I don't really know where else to ask these questions, they seem somewhat inappropriate for the tone of "Deathwatch Q&A" - although I may be wrong ... *shrug*

1) Page 36 says all Space Marines start with "Dodge" as a Trained Skill - however on the Character Sheet it is listed as a "Basic" skill (not trained) - which is correct?

2) The rules say (page 204) that using a Fate Point removes 1D10 damage - up from the 1D5 in Final Sanction and the prior two games, is this correct? If so it seems kinda ... absurd, since if you use a Demeanour and get the bonus ... 2D10 is quite a bit of damage to heal in one go ... (It should be noted that Page 33 specifically says "Healing 2D5 damage instead of 1D5" under Improvements)

3) On page 219 it says that Chapter Specific Squad Mode abilities are only usable by Battle-Brothers of that Chapter and all other members of the Kill-Team will be unaffected. However, on page 228 under "Oath-Taking" it says that "In addition to the listed Codex Squad Mode abilities the Kill-Team will also have access to their leader's Chapter Squad Mode abilities." Does this, then, mean that any Battle-Brother can use the Squad's Cohesion to kick off their Chapter Squad Mode ability - with only members of their Chapter benefiting - unless it's the Kill-Team Leader's Chapter Squad Mode ability, in which case any Battle Brother can join in?

Thanks very much to anyone who can help me out.

The Q&A thread would have been better for this, since then it keeps all questions, etc, all in one place.

1) I'd say that the rulebook is correct, all Marines start with Dodge.

2) I'd say a typo, and it should be 1d5.

3) It is just saying that the Leader also takes/can use his Chapter Squad abilities, it doesn't say anything about other Chapter members being able to use it. Therefore, the Leader can activate his Chapter's Squad Abilities, but only fellow members of that Chapter will benefit from it.
