Perhaps I will have more luck posting this here since the BGG thread got derailed into a discussion about how bad ass Agency/Hastur is...
Katja and I have played over 100 games against each other and I have held off building a Cthulhu deck until we got some chops to take the hits that Cthulhu can dish out.
That said, this is my first attempt at building a Cthulhu faction deck of any kind. I always loved my Dreamlands Bokrug deck for Mythos CCG and wanted to try and somewhat remake the theme present in that deck.
Basic premise is pretty obvious, taking advantage of the Cthulhu faction's character removal strength in order for the slow behemoth to attain momentum to win a few successes. Its a slow deck to be sure.
Themed around lots of cultists who are present in the real and dreamworld who ally with the ghosts of those who descended from the moon. Calling upon Mnomquah, Bokrug and ultimately Cthulhu to reek vengeance upon those who dare worship gods other than Bokrug within Ilarnek.
We try to build decks that are 'decent' but attempt to be as thematic as possible. Because of that, you wont likely find our decks at a tournament, but against other decks we build we strive for balance. Otherwise the game just turns out to be mechanically abstract means and the reason why we play this is for the theme.
Given the above, is there anything I am missing here in this deck to be a little more competitive and yet retain some semblance of theme?

The Setting Sun is my only defense against quick Nerd (Miskatonic) decks. But there are some decent cards that play off of the
Night
state based effect and am not sure if its worth keeping them in the deck considering the thin possibility of their being used consistently.
Cave Mouth I am not so sure about, but it seems an interesting card to play to keep some semblance of control on the board in the Cthulhu faction's own unique way. Any experience with this card?
Scalethorn Asylum I am also on the fence in keeping in the deck. It is always nice to be able to pump up a character but I am not sure if the deck space is warranted for its effect.
Called By Azathoth is mostly for opponents pesky characters, but seems to be handy in a pinch against your own Cthulhu to avoid more sacrifices.
The Sword of Y'ha-tallo is mostly there to make sure I have 2 Terror icons on a character so I can use Pulled Under early in the game if need be.
Ravager from the Deep seemed a bit strong in the games we played so I removed one to help make it a little less common place for it to be in play.
Only played this deck twice now so I am not sure if it is good against all of my other decks yet but would like to know your thoughts on it and any opinions you may have concerning possible changes you think are warranted.
Chris Long suggested replacing Pulled Under with Sacrificial Offering. Any opinions differ on this?
