Fear and couraje

By jack_px, in Dark Heresy Rules Questions

hi thanks to the comunity por answering the question i had xD (a lot of them xDD)

I have another one :3, when a character have the courage talent he's inmune to fear so... how can he win locure points? or corruption points?, or that phase of the game is over for that character?, i ask because for what i have read corruption point are only won if your character win locure points with demons. The if he is inmune to fear... then no corruptions point are won, or not?

i want to add something, i just read about a psychic power that produce fear and you can maintain it... but why will you do that?, i mean when you encounter a monster with the fear talent you just roll one time for willpower and then no more, or do you have to roll every asault?

no one knows? or my english was too bad xD, or its something too basic to answer? jejejeje :P.

Assuming that by "courage talent" you are talking about fearless and "locure points" are insanity points:

Fearless does prevent most sources of insanity and corruption points, but not all of them. For example, psychic phenomena and perils can still inflict both on a fearless character.

You might for example activate the power before combat so you don't have to waste a roll then - in which case you affect only the enemies that see you while the power is maintained.

Along with that I'd argue that if an opponent hit 41-60 on the shock table, or you're using a non-combat fear test, the psyker would only remain the object of his fear if he kept the power up. Drop the power and the psyker isn't as scary.

A character can gain insanity and corruption from other sources outside of fear tests. Commiting horrific acts and exposure to the warp come to mind.

got it thanks :D

And happy Birthday, Jack_px.
