May I use the response on " The Black Cells " to respond to itself coming out of the Shadows?

Example:

I have 1 gold and zero cards in play. At the start of the challenge phase I pay 1 gold to bring The Black Cells out of the Shadows. May I then also activate its response?

Here are the rules you may be looking for :

"Each card that comes out of Shadows is treated as a separate action, and must be fully resolved (including all responses) before the next card is brought out of Shadows."

Since cards comes out of Shadows within an action window, you have an opportunity to play responses.
