about rules and rock elemental

By player595967, in Battlelore

Hi to you all :) I'm new here and I have few questions that needs an answer. I hope(know) you can help.

first...can same unit battle back more than once in a one gameturn??

second... Do I have to place a token to a creature place if I'm playing with rock elemental... I'm not sure cause if i play with R elemental, I already have to take level 1wizard and when I put the elemental on board, I have to play all wizard cards out of character..Right?? So it seems that the creaturetoken wouldn't be needed when playing with re.

What about the hill giant, does it ignore all movements and gombat restrictions on hills??

Last I would like to say, that I have found answers to many questions regarding the battlelore game and units rules from this site. For that I thank you :) I hope someone will have to time to help me with these questions....

In order,

Yes, a unit may battle back as many times per turn as you desire, provided it has not retreated for the given turn.

The Rock Elemental is a Level 1 Creature, and so necessitates 1 Creature Token on the Creature spot in the War Council.

The Hill Giant battles with 3d downhill, and 2d uphill. I know it seems like it should match more what the Wood Giant can do, but you've got 2d vs. 3d, and the fact that Wooded Terrain actually stops movement whereas Elevated Terrain doesn't. Gotta make the Wood Giant an appealing Creature :)

thank you very much :)

Small point of order here, a unit that has retreated during a particular battle may not battle back against any further attacks from that same attacking unit during that turn (typically this is from a mounted unit that targets the same unit with its bonus attack as with its first attack), but that unit certainly may battle back against other units that attack during the remainder of the turn, assuming it meets the conditions for a battle back.

Also, Harri, where you may be getting confused with the Hill Giant is that it does not follow the restrictions given by the rockpile, but does follow those given by hills.

thanks for the pointers toddrew :)
