Alrighty, try this then: http://www.roleplaynexus.org/forums/

Sometimes the login to the front page can be a pain (happens to me when I log out for checking things when looking at it as an unlogged user).

And yeah, no edit functions on these boards. Don't feel bad asking, I don't know unless you tell me too :)

I registered with the username araxosch. Cannot go anywhere though... can anyone help me out?

I'm fixing it up now for you :) Sorry, been at work and doing the admin parts is tricky without being swatted for doing non-work things at the cashier :P

Any ideas for where I could get basic guidelines and advices for forum based RPG? I have run a few in the past but would like to do a new one that is only based on forum and not played as interludes for live sessions.

Hey Jayven I registered on your site (as CaffeineBoy) in the hope of getting in on this PbP. Curiously, I can read the forums if I'm *not* logged in, but if I do sign in I get a *you do not have permission to view this page* message even in the new user bio/sign up thread. I clicked the link in the confirmation email and all, so I'm just assuming it'll fix itself when you review the request.

Yup, all updated now. You joined while I was asleep :P

To anyone else who joins up, just take into account that Caul's game has his max players at the present time and I will run a game but may not be for a month or two at most. Anyone else is welcome to GM and just has to PM me to get things set up or you can wait and see what happens in the meantime, watching Caul's game of course too :D

Unfortunately, I haven't a clue. I generally set up guidelines per game really. Two obvious rules are 1) have fun and 2) don't overpost and push others into the background. Other than that, depends on the system really.

Personally, in an out of combat scenario, I let players go nuts and if someone is left behind, I egg them into it somehow to spur them on. In combat, it runs as a one post a round idea, generally in whatever order and I piece it all into the initiative order when I do the results.

If you have anything specific you want ideas on, feel free to ask. I'll see what I can say as well as others may have thoughts on it.
