Is anyone doing this with WFRP? I wish I could get my group to be interested, but I am having a hard time of it, and I really want to play...

I've ordered my Core Set last night and plan on doing it via play by post on my forum (www.roleplaynexus.org) but don't know when. I've been reading reviews but have to get around to even forming how things work in my head first Feel free to pop over there, very quiet atm as the GMs are all busy away from gaming (i.e. like myself who threw the towel in with DMing D&D 4e)

Bare in mind too, I've only done minor bits in Warhammer, so not a Warhammer Lore guru

I just want to inform that whenever there is going to be a PbP game of the 3rd ed, I want to be in if at all possible. Myself and Araxosch too have been looking across the internet to find that kind of game, so Jayven, I beg you to infrom if and when that game is going to start.

Awesome. I'll start this weekend. Anyone who want's to join, join Jayven's forum and as soon as I get the recruitment post up make sure and post your ideas there. I'll try to get the recruitment forum and character posting guidelines up tonight.

I do want to warn you though, that althought I am an experienced GM and have run pbp's before, I do have a life and probably won't be able to post more often than 2-3 times a week, and I would expect at least the same commitment from the players. I'll decide how many players (probably 3-6) once I have some entries, and we'll go from there. I will also need a Warhammer Loremaster, if I can get one, to back me up sometimes, as I am not that familiar with (though not entirely ignorant of) the Warhammer Fantasy setting.

I'm in the same boat with a life as well, my problem ends up balance pen and paper games with video games, but I'm working on that

This sounds pretty cool. I did a PbP game for a little while earlier in the year and had a good time. Another alternative some people might be interested in who want to be able to play with their pals, with whom it is no longer geographically feasible to play with, is MapTools (by www.RPTools.net). It is a shared virtual tabletop game board with tokens, maps, dice rollers, etc. Its great for RPGs. I've been able to play with all my old gaming buddies from back in the day even though none of us live within 100 miles of eachother anymore.

I'm not exactly a Warhammer Loremaster, but I do know something from 2e. I'm very interested in a game with 2-3-4 posting a week. I'll talk to you there!

I'm also really interested in MapTools, but I'm afraid I don't have that much time to play in real time on the internet. Not sure, though, maye it will be a possibility.
