Plasma weapons on Maximal, All-Out-Attack w/ step aside/wall of steel, Hip Shooting

By Mahali2, in Rogue Trader

As I understand it you can:

a) fire a plasma weapon on maximal in auto-fire mode?

b) use Hip Shooting (Dark Heresy) with two weapon wielder you can fire both pistols on full-auto and do so at the beginning, end, or anywhere in between of your movement.

When performing the All-out-attack action is "may not dodge or parry until your next turn" a blanket statement or may you do so with if you have step aside or wall of steel or does

Hai! I see your niec Sword of Planet-Slaying +15/Talent: Deadly Planet-strike/ Trait: Hate (Planets)/ Skill: Backstab (planets) combo. Niec, I liek.

But I raise you The Ultimate Sceptre of Cosmos Annihilation +37/ Talent: Swift annihilating/ Proficiency: Munchkin combo. So you see, I trump you. :(

Sorry if I'm not being entirely helpful and forthcoming, but I have a faint suspicion that this question properly belongs in the rules questions section and my blood pressure gets inordinately high whenever I see such a type of question. :(

[Not to be entirely unhelpful, however, as regards your second and third question: no. There, the Oracle has spoken.]

[Aight, as for the third one: all-out states that the character exposes themselves, get no dodge or parry, i.e. you can't get an additional dodge or parry if you have zero dodges/parries.

Second one? Both the talents give you a single attack, both require a full action. No full-auto bursts.

First one I cba to check. Kthxbai, gl wif finding an answer.]

a) I believe that is correct
b) don't see a reason why not.
c) I would consider that a blanket statement, yes. All out attack represents throwing caution and self preservation to the wind. You are ignoring your defense in order to put everything into your attack, so any defensive talents or skills are ignored as well.

I wouldn't rate all defensive talents out. Skills or talents that let you move out of the way should be out, but talents based on sheer thoughness or being too fumb to know you're dead should work. "I can take it, so I'll stand right in the thick of action and blast away."
