Best way to buy base game currently.

By player651836, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Does anyone know a good place to buy the base game for a good price? It seems to be out of stock in most places. I've heard rumors of reprints being available come September but it seems that FFG has added the reprint as "In Development" on the Upcoming section of the website. Not sure if this means they are working on a new reprint in addition to the reprints of the current version due out next month.

Anyone have any ideas?

Hello.

Would you mind narrowing it down to a specific country? If you are from EU, maybe this could be a good choice (no clue about international shipping though):

At this online shop (also open for visitors in the harbor-town of Hamburg) the core game as well as the different expansions are available at the moment in both languages - English and German.

I got my base game on Ebay for about half the box price. Also picked up all the small box expansions (sans Lurker) and Innsmouth at a shop near my inlaws house in BC for about 1/3 off (thought I doubt that bit helps you).

Sorry, as an American I have been taught to not realize that the rest of the world exists!

I am from the U.S. Ebay sounds like a good option while I wait to see if more copies surface on sites that offer discounts off of MSRP sometime soon.

Thanks for your help guys.

It does not ... Believe, there is only the USofA, and nothing else ... Believe me, I live there ... So you haven't missed a thing ... ;)

I bought a copy at local Barnes and Noble last week. I have been to 2 different B+N in the last week. Both had multiple copies of AH in stock.

hm...i will be stopping by on my way home from work shortly! Perhaps my local B&N is as game cultured as yours!

I have to ditto Barnes and Noble, they have recently expanded their Games section and both the ones near me had multiple copies of the base game. No expansions as of yet though.

I pay full price at my friendly neighborhood gaming store to help support them.

Thanks for the tip. Was able to get a copy just now at the local B&N (didn't realize they even carried games like this).

I agree, but they do not currently have any in stock. I was able to buy it from B&N yesterday myself. They had FOUR!

I had no idea they were expanding the game section so much. They even have Agricola.....

After trying a bunch of large merchant websites I ended up ordering it through Barnes and Noble. Price was higher than some other places but at least they had it. I'm excited to start my 1st stab at setting it up and giving it a go sometime soon!

Pray to the Elder Gods, pay with your soul (they don't charge shipping and handling I hear).
