Some questions regarding battle at the CoC

By Persiatic, in Talisman Rules Questions

Hello all I have some questions that I couldnt find answers to in other threads so I hope some1 can help me.

1. Does Valley of Fire count as 1 space and CoC count as another space? (It somewhat states that in the rules.)

2. If question 1 is true can you ditch your Talisman once you reached the CoC?

3. when 2 chars are battling at the CoC it says that you must encounter eachother, does that mean that you must battle/PSY-combat or can u use other special abilities like thief stealing or sorceress beaguile?

4. If question 1 is true and some1 is standing on Valley of fire space can another char whitout a Talisman encounter the char instead of the space as you do with regular card drawing spaces? A Follow-up question would be then if that char attacking whitout Talisman wins the fight and steals the other persons talisman what happens?

Thank you in advance

1. Yes, they are separate spaces.

2. Yes, if you want to. However, you might need it if you are using the alternative ending cards!

3. You may use a special ability instead.

4. A player must have a Talisman in order to enter the Valley of Fire. Once there, he may encounter another player there (different rules for Inner Region). You can take a Talisman from the loser, but it will not force him to leave the Inner Region.

Tnx for the answers this creates some new tactics when reaching the CoC. I haven't bought the expansions yet so we are not playing with any alternative endings.

Why I asked was that last time we played I was at the CoC and a Sorceress reached up to me and the first thing she did was to steal my mule so I had to ditch 4 objects (had 8) and when I tried to ditch the talisman my friend said that wasn't possible because u needed one to be at the crown.

You don't need a Talisman once you are on the Crown of Command!
