In battle last night I had the Uthuk player attack me in an area containing one of my strongholds (I was the Elves). He played a conquest card and the supremacy bonus as well. At the end of battle the Uthuk player had 6 standing units left and I had four. Now, the question: When tallying strength, the instructions say to add your fortifications (which i had none) then talley standing unit strength which we did (6-4) then add stronghold strength then damage stronghold. So in this example do I add the plus 5 strength to my total strength? Basically, how do you calculate the strength of your stronghold in this example with the conquer card supremacy bonus against you and; how would this example change if the conquer order card's supremacy bonus couldnt be played? Stronghold's definitely could have been explained better. Thanks in advance

I assume that by conquest card you meant conquer card.

Based on your description:

Units are 6-4. Then you add 5 due to your stronghold . 6-9. Now flip the stronghold to its damaged side (the 3) because he has units that survived the attack. Subtract 3 from your score due to his conquer card. Now it's 6-6. On a tie, defender wins. His units are routed and retreat.

If your stronghold was already damaged due to a previous attack, everything is the same except you'd only be adding 3 strength in the first place for a stronghold (which would be subtracted due to conquer). In this situation, your opponent would have the advantage at 6-4. Attacker wins. You take your stronghold back and your opponent places a damaged stronghold of his own in its place (if he chooses). Your remaining units retreat.

If he didn't have his conquer card's supremacy bonus in either situation, you would win the first scenario, 6-9. The second scenario, using the damaged stronghold, would have you winning 6-7.

Basically, it boils down to this:

- If you attack an Undamaged stronghold with the Conquer order supremacy, it has an effective strength of +2

- If you attack a Damaged stronghold with the Conquer order supremacy, it is essentially ignored (as the -3 cancels it's 3 bonus).
