What happens if you max out a decent career, say swordmaster.

I wouldn't want to go on to another career...Can i do a second version of the career from scratch so i can get more skill increases?

Sort of the problem mixing the old style profession careers with WAR/WFB style class careers

By the book, the answer is "No".

From page 27 of the Rulebook: "once a character has fully completed a career – all the advances and the dedication bonus have been taken – that career has nothing more to offer him. It is time for a transition into a new career that offers new opportunities."

Several people have houseruled allowing a second or subsequent pass through a career. You might want to check the House Rules subsection of the Forum for ideas.
