Official Status of Signs of Faith?

By HedgeWizard, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Many weeks ago, Signs of Faith moved from "At the Printers" to "On the Boat." It looked like it would was scheduled ahead of The Edge of Night adventure, and it made an appearance at GenCon.

Now, Edge of Night shows shipping to retailers, and Signs of Faith is back at the printers. Was there a printing error that was caught and sent back?

That sounds odd.

But didn`t mr Little mentioned that they had a few boxes of the Signs of Faith with them? I seem to remember that he said so in the video uplink. Could be wrong.

otherwise...the gods do surely work in mysterious ways.

I saw it at my FLGS last night in Tucson. Heavy box.

Maybe it's one of those instances where FFG sold out their initial stock and are ordering more.

Well, my source (the shop I will buy it at, and distributor at the same time) told me, that they expect it to be available at the same time that "The Edge of Night" (which should be at the beginning of september in middle europe).

But I can't confirm it in any way, so take it or not lengua.gif

It's my understanding that FFG considers GenCon to count as a street ship date. So when they say any games are coming out in August don't hold your breath unless you have tickets to GenCon.

Signs of Faith and Deathwatch were both released at GenCon with 300 copies of each. That release has nothing to do with store releases, although it still counts as being out there available for purchase. Technically it's been released to the public so it counts as having been released despite the fact that no stores got theres.

@Sepayne, your store may have gotten some copies from GenCon or know someone who was there. FFG has stated that those items released at GenCon did not deplete their stocks heading to U.S. stores or those going to Europe. The 300 copies sold of each product at GenCon were planned to be released ahead of time.

It's just a promo trick to get people to go to the "Big Con" to get stuff early.

I wouldn't call it a 'trick' as much as an 'incentive' to attend the show. After all, half the fun of a con is to see what's coming soon and maybe get it early. FFG has a MASSIVE presence at GenCon, and that can't be cheap, and I know for a fact that many vendors fund their trips to the show with their booth sales.

That covered, yeah, of the things I've seen offered by FFG at GenCon you can expect them to start showing up in stores anywhere from 2-8 weeks after the con is over. I remember holding off on Descent when I saw it at GenCon and waiting nearly two months before it made it to the shops.

I sure do love my copy of Deathwatch though. ;) Wish I'd realized they would have two unreleased products out for WHFRP.

That would be great becouse Edge of Night will be avaliable at the end of August or early September. But I know only that Edge Of Night should be avalaible by the end of next week.

My online retailer hier in Germany set the available date at 7th of September.

The last date was exactly correct with Winds of Magic. So I think I will have it at 8th or 9th September!

Good news, so I can buy it with other products I'm waiting for. gran_risa.gif I only hope that my FLGS will make a preorder for this one.

Morgenwelt changed the availability from Edge of Night to the 23rd of August. It's already listed as being in stock.

FFG had Edge of Night at Games Day Baltimore. The awesome staff said that they didn't have Signs because it was (likely) shipping out to distribution in the next week or two.

Has anyone been able to verify if this has started showing up?

I picked up Edge of Night today from my FLGS (in Sacramento, CA). No word about Signs of Faith.

Edge of Night, Sea of Blood map (descent), Dungeonquest all at FLGS today, no SoF.

I suspect that Gen Con will turn out to be a very early sale and we won't see Signs in stores for some time.

I'll just have to make my own symptoms for scurvy disease rules for upcoming sessions. gran_risa.gif

I't after the release of Edge Of Night and there is no word about Signs Of Faith. Does any one know something about it? When it will be avaliable?

Not a word.

I'm sitting like on needles here.

Even more, because I plan to buy both Signs of Faith and The Edge of Night at the same time, so until SoF is out I won't have EoN either...

Local developer said they expect it at the beggining of september, but there are no signs of faith so far.

I think I'm gonna bump them with some emails a bit, maybe they add it on pre-order finally.

It's status has changed to On The Boat!

Yeah, hoped I would get surprised, and status will change to "shipping now"...

Well, looks like I will not get it for few more weeks...

Time to buy EoN then.

Finaly, but still we will have to wait a couple of weeks. Let's just hope that FFg will make us a nice suprise and it will fast change to "shipping now". I realy hope to get it with "March of the Damned" for Warhammer:Invasion.

It seems to be an avg of 6-8 weeks from when something is "on the boat" to being "in stores." Still - glad to see it's finally on its way!

it would be great but likely no. This could not be true becouse it from a week or two on the boat. I would say that it will be at the end of November or at the fist days of October if everything goes alright. happy.gif

But when it would be true, and it would be avaliable on 14th November I would be very happy! gui%C3%B1o.gif
