I'm not sure if this was covered somewhere else, if it was i couldn't find it. When you purchase a Martial Art using DP it gives you a bonus to your Martial Knowledge, does that bonus apply at every level or is it a one time increase?

One time bonus only

Just in case you need any more understanding it works like this....

If your base character has +20 MK per level, it gets that each time you level up. So at 1st lvl you'll have 20mk, at second lvl 40mk, etc.

If you take a martial arts at the beginning and get the +10 MK bonus, you add that to your initial MK. So you would start with 30 mk. Next level you would have 60 mk.

All of this is of course assuming you haven't spent any of it on KI abilities or Domains.

The bonus MK is when you get the specific MA, you could get 2 different MA (Tai chi for +30 and Kempo for +10) that gives bonus MK at character creation, thus adding to your starting MK, but you'll have to wait until you get another or better form of MA to get another "free" MK points.

Page 59 in the english core book reads "The martial arts always confer a bonus to the character's Martial Knowledge,..." - I read this as MK total, not per level. Has anyone the spanish book to compare this section?

It adds only to the total, not to the "per level".

If it did, Tao would quickly get more MK than Technicians.

p32 : "Martial Knowledge: This is the Martial Knowledge each character receives for belonging to a given class. They receive this number of points at first level, and again each time they move up a level."

p59 : "Martial Knowledge: The martial arts always confer a bonus to the character’s Martial Knowledge, which is listed in this section."

Your archetype gives you MK per level, and your martial arts give you some MK upon learning, that's all
