There's one thing I don't understand about the seven scions adventure variant. In the storm step when you flip over a challenge the rules say that all the heroes fight the challenge together. Doesn't this make the challenges a little too easy? It seems that the heroes will be able to defeat or come close to defeating the challenge in the before combat set.

I have not actually played this adventure variant yet I just wanted to hear peoples thoughts and experiences before I try it, thanks.

You are correct that players face the Storm challenges together which in theory makes them easier. However, look at the timing of when the Storm Step occurs. It takes place after Adventure step and before the Market Step. Therefor, you could be facing the Storm challenge right after you finished a tough Challenge in the Adventure step or before you get a chance to heal in town in the Market step.

yeah that's true. I guess I'll have to play it first to find out how difficult it is for a group of adventures to take down the challenge
