In regards to the Direwolves some of them like Grey Wind have a character and an attachment version, do these two conflict with each other ? Or could have both in play. If one is in my dead or discard pile would that stop other coming out into play ?
Unique Attachment/Characters
Unfortunately they do clash, there can only be the one version of a unique card in play at any one time. So you could either play the attachment or the character, however you can use the 'other' as a duplicate for whichever version you use. Also if somehow you manage to bring one of them back to your hand then would be the time to play the other version if you would so wish.
The rules of unique do not care about card type. So:
- If you have the attachment version in play, you cannot play the character version.
- If you have the character version in play, you cannot play the attachment version.
- The attachment version can be used to dupe a character version already in play, and vice versa.
- If a unique card is in your dead pile - regardless of card type - you are prevented from playing another unique card with the same name - regardless of card type.
