Once you have reached the Crown Of Command space, are you able to move away if you want to, or do you have to cast the Crown Of Command spell (or fight if someone is there with you).

No, you cannot voluntarily move away from the Crown of Comand, and yes, you have to attempt to cast the Command spell if there are no other characters on the CoC. Honestly, did you even read the rulebook?

I've read the rulebook several times from cover to cover, and even then there's stuff that hasn't sunk in yet. When skimming back through for an answer it is still easy to miss things, as is evident in my questions. I asked my questions because i thought people on here would be happy to help. Just because I asked if you had read the rulebook doesn't mean I wasn't happy to help you out. It's just that the CoC rules were so easy for me to pick up that I was amazed that you had any kind of uncertainty in these regards. Sorry if I sounded hostile.

If you want an official answer to any rules query, then use the FFG Rules Questions form on the Customer Service site.

Though people like myself and Elliott are able to advise people on "correct" rules interpretations, the only really "official" route for these is via the form (which ends up on John Goodenough's computer screen!)

That said, just ask anything you want here and I am sure someone will come up with a workable solution, whether it is official or not!
