Tesla coil and Tesla supra-coil, two useless tokens in new version of the rules!

Only melee attacks can activate their effects.

In the core set, only Stosstruppen can't do range attack. All other characters have a ranged weapon!
It would be good if FFG go back to the drawing board for these 2 tokens!

More like someone screwed the pooch where melee rules are concerned. No advantage to melee at all. Needs to have something going for it, like canceling certain weapons or something. I find it hard to belive this issue didn't show up in playtesting. I noticed it before I finished reading the rules.

I agree that the melee attack has become non-existant.

Does anyone think it might work if we just 'houserule' that any attack to an adjacent circle must be melee?

That would work. Pretty simple solution if you're looking for an easy fix. I can't help but think they intended for there be something else in the rules about melee but somehow left it out. Why else would they have seperate descriptions of both type of combat. The way it is now all combat is basicly the same. Seems like a sentence or two got left out of the rule book.

I think that FFG missed something when they removed the minimum range rules. To me only Pistol and Hand-to-Hand weapons should be allowed to be able to Attack adjacent targets. All other kind of attacks should be have at least 1 circle between the attacker and the target.

I also agree with hebus. In V1 the Tesla coils were super powerful, no they're super useless gran_risa.gif . Maybe they should have said something more like "any attack made by adjacent character" making it useful when in a smoky path.

I think that FFG sincerely thought that by making melee attack being able to reach an adjacent character on another path made it poweful but its not happening quite often...
