1st High Elf try

By Grille2, in Warhammer Invasion Deck Building

Hi there.

Since Release I mainly played Dwarf, Chaos and Dark Elf but in our playgroup we decided to play some so called b-tier decks the next time. So I wanted to try HE since nobody ever plays them (... wonder why ^^). It doesn't have to be effective against bolt thrower but to some extend against rush or control decks.

52 cards

20 units:

3 Envoy from Averlorn
3 Pistoliers
3 Shadow Warrior
3 Free Company
3 Lelansi
2 Caradryan
3 Sword Masters of Hoeth

17 tactics:

3 Asuryan's Cleansing
3 Innovation
3 Charge of the Silver Helms
3 Infiltrate
3 Order in Chaos
2 Sigmar's Intervention

15 support:

3 Contested Village
3 Watchstone of Athel Tamarha
3 Dark Abyss
3 Dwarf/Empire Alliance
3 Mining Tunnels

I really liked Watchstone of Athel Tamarha when opening the last battlepack so I wanted to play a deck around this and some spell cards. My first Version was a HE/dwarf mix to get at least 1 good building (mining tunnels of course) together with Valaya Spells and Waystone but then I wanted to play the empire infiiltrate plan that one of my friends ran in a another version in his main deck the last sessions which really annoyed us for for several matches.

The plan is to get loyalty on board to get the Caradyan/Infiltrate/Order in Chaos combo to work. At this point you basically determine each round what card your opponent is drawing and discard 2 of your choice (or more with multiple Abyss). Lelansi is there for keeping Sword Masters save for a later Intervention. Charge of the Silver Helms helps to give his battlefield more push or get some extra resources/cards if needed (or everything with pistoliers) and it's basically the card of choice for Watchstone resources you get in your opponents turn. Note that you can play Order in Chaos after Kingdom Phase to get the Silver Helm tactic back to your hand or hand it to you via Mining Tunnels if you have one. With 1 Sword Master out you can do 8 dmg in this turn if you want. Order in Chaos also shines in replaying Asuryans Cleansing plus Infiltrate.

Where can I improve the deck without sacrificing my core gameplay? My main concern is economy as playing dwarf for quite a time I'm used to faster starts :o

I'm not sure wether I need Disdain but the chance to play it for 1 cost or lower seems attractive.
